I had no idea how long I’ve been staring at Raven, but it must have been more than a couple of seconds based on the expression on Ford’s face.

“Did you find something out?” Garcia cut in.

“I did.” I nodded.

“And?” he pressed, causing me to look at him.

“You were wrong.”

“Maybe,” he grumbled, going back to work.

“Just go ask her already,” Ford suggested.

“Huh?”

“To be your date at the fair,” Kai cut in. “And you better move fast, because that vanilla forehead kissing you did when you arrived didn’t do you much good.” He gestured toward one of my men as he approached Raven.

“Bastard wants to get fired,” I grumbled, jumping to my feet before taking off at a light jog.

“What can I help you with, Rob?” Raven’s friendly voice reached my ears as I closed in on them.

“Well...” Rob scratched the back of his head.

“Mrs. Kim needs you at the back entrance, Rob,” I cut in, ignoring Raven’s humor-filled gaze. “And I wouldn’t keep that lady waiting,” I added when he didn’t immediately leave.

“I thought you didn’t do jealousy, since you were such a catch and all that.” She smirked, crossing her arms over her chest.

“I don’t,” I argued, taking both her hands in mine and pulling her closer until our chests were touching. “But I have an urgent matter to discuss with you. One that can’t wait.”

“Alright.” She chuckled, shaking her head at my shenanigans. “Where’s the fire, big boy?”

“Well, if you put it like that,” I mumbled, lightly pressing my awakening cock into her belly, causing her to moan under her breath.

“What is it with you and public places?”

“It’s not about the place, baby girl,” I whispered into her ear, enjoying the shiver that ran through her body. “It’s about you.”

“You don’t play fair,” she accused, pressing her fingernails into my forearms.

“No, I don’t. But the real reason for me coming over and saving you from Rob’s blabber was to inform you that you’re coming with me to the fair tomorrow afternoon as my date.”

“Informing me, huh?” she breathed, desire swirling in her gray irises.

“Yes.”

“What if I don’t want to go?”

“Oh, but you do.” I leaned forward to murmur into her ear, grazing the shell of her ear with my lips.
